Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to help manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department. You will assist the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department in line with Harris Teeter's policies and standards.

Responsibilities include performing duties of baker, fryer, cake decorator, fresh foods clerk, and chef; interviewing and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience.
• Commitment to unparalleled customer service; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in and complete required training; work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Complete company training including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, and department manager training.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of baker/fryer, cake decorator, fresh foods clerk, and chef.

• Assist in appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates.
