Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to help supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department. You will assist the Department Manager with direction, coordination, and evaluation while upholding company policies and standards.

You’ll interview and train staff, plan and direct work, assess performance, and address issues to maintain a high level of customer service and store performance across the deli bakery area.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in training and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department.
• Interviewing and training associates.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assist in appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
