Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to support the Fresh Foods Department. You will assist in managing up to 80 associates and help execute the department's direction, coordination, and evaluation in line with store standards.

The role includes interviewing and training staff, planning work, and supporting performance evaluations, ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth daily operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department.
• Assist Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.
• Interviewing and training associates.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assist in appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
