Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to help supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department and support the Department Manager with overall direction and coordination.

You will perform bakery and deli duties, interview and train staff, plan and direct work, and address performance and customer issues while upholding company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commitment to unparalleled customer service; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Completion of Harris Teeter training including but not limited to new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and department manager training.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of baker/fryer, cake decorator, fresh foods clerks, and chef.
• Interviewing and training associates.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assist in appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
