Job summary

Harris Teeter seeks a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to help supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department. You will assist the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.

You will interview and train associates, plan and direct work, and address performance and customer issues while supporting the store's service goals and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commitment to unparalleled customer service; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Complete Company's training including but not limited to new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and department manager training.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department.
• Assist the Department Manager with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter's policies and standards.
