Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to assist in managing and supervising up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department. The role includes supporting the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation, and may involve duties as baker, fryer, cake decorator, and other Fresh Foods tasks.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience or training.
• Ability to read and write in English; clear communication.
• Willingness to participate in required training.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 80 associates in Fresh Foods.
• Assist Department Manager with direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department.
• Interviewing and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Address complaints and resolving problems; maintain customer service standards.
• Perform duties of baker/fryer, cake decorator, Fresh Foods clerks; and chef as needed.
