Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers and prepare fresh meals in a fast-paced deli environment. You will help with packaging, displaying, and maintaining product quality while ensuring a clean, safe working area.

The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, teamwork, and adaptability to varying shifts, including nights and weekends. Prior grocery or food-service experience is helpful for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Must lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 20 feet without assistance.
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, total 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; sanitize work area.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure Deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented; keep area clean.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following company standards.
• Maintain clean, safe deli area and equipment and clean floors.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment quality and temperature.
