Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Deli Clerk to join the team in our fast-paced deli department. You will greet customers, prepare fresh meals, ensure proper packaging and presentation, and maintain a clean deli area.

The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, standing up to 8 hours, flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends, and adherence to safety and health regulations. Competitive pay and benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure Deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented neatly; maintain cleanliness of the Deli area.
• Fill, rotate, and display products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following company standards and procedures.
