Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers, prepare fresh meals, and maintain a clean, efficient deli area in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include slicing meats and cheeses, packing orders, stocking displays, and ensuring proper safety and cleanliness standards while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service to shoppers.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is important, as is physical stamina for standing, lifting up to 70 lbs, and operating deli

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery/restaurant or related field; or an acceptable education/experience combination.
• Dependable and reliable with a positive attitude.
• Ability to interact with customers and work in a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options and preparing fresh meals.
• Ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, displayed, and the deli area is clean and sanitary.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays; prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment safely (slicer, ovens, microwaves, scales) and log shipments for quality and temperature.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the deli area and equipment.
