Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Deli Clerk to join the deli team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will help customers make healthy food choices, prepare fresh meals, and maintain clean, appealing deli displays.

The role requires reliable, friendly interactions with customers and team members, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, stand for long periods, and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Training on safety and food handling will be provided.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and grocery/food service experience.
• Reliable and able to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting deli items and preparing fresh meals.
• Ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly and safely.
• Maintain displays, rotate products, and fill orders.
• Operate deli equipment following company standards and safety rules.
• Keep the deli area clean and sanitary and log deliveries for quality.
• Handle special orders/party trays and respond to customer requests.
