Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk in our Utah location. You will assist customers, prepare fresh and easy meals, maintain deli displays, and help with daily operations in a fast-paced grocery setting.

The ideal candidate is 18+, has a high school diploma or equivalent, can work nights/weekends/holidays, and demonstrates friendly, reliable customer service while following safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent (or combination of education/experience).
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and positive attitude with customers.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication and teamwork; able to take direction.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 20 feet without assistance for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain clean deli area and equipment.
• Operate deli equipment safely and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented with cleanliness.
• Fill, rotate, and maintain products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, and cutting tools following standards.
• Maintain clean, safe deli area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Inspect and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
