Job summary

Maersk is seeking an Operations Coordinator in Oakley, CA to manage freight shipments across multiple modes. The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, accurate data entry, and timely communications with stations and carriers.

Weekend work is required, with a 10:30am–7pm shift and Excel proficiency expected. Applicants should be comfortable in a fast-paced logistics environment, able to handle multiple tasks, and capable of collaborating with carriers and internal teams to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• Must be able to multi-task with precise attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
• Ability to work in a demanding, high-volume environment with emails and calls.

Responsibilities

• Track and trace outbound shipments.
• Contract new carriers and assign load tenders.
• Communicate freight status to stations and customers.
• Provide customer service.
• Work overtime and weekends on call rotations.
• Data entry into TMS.
• Quoting, costing and invoicing of international shipments.
