Job summary

XPO is hiring a Freight Operations Supervisor in the United States. You will lead and coordinate freight activities across the shift, overseeing workflows, staffing and safety compliance to ensure on-time, damage-free delivery.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff and be primary contact for workplace questions.
• Ensure production goals by managing tonnage, payroll and admin tasks.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and reduce costs.
• Enforce all policies and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Ensure freight is processed, loaded and delivered timely and damage-free.
• Coach and develop employees and conduct evaluations for corrective action.
• Direct a team to meet or exceed productivity goals.
• Assist in hiring decisions and action plans to improve load averages.
• Participate in safety and engagement committees and train staff on safety.
