Job summary

XPO is hiring a Freight Operations Supervisor in the United States. You will lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations, developing procedures to meet department demands and ensure safety and efficiency on the dock.

Responsibilities include scheduling, workload management, and enforcing FMCSR, OSHA, DOT policies while coaching staff to meet productivity goals. Competitive benefits available starting day one with opportunities for incentive plans.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in a warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar environment.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazmat regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and be primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and admin functions.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily goals and lower costs.
• Enforce FMCSR, OSHA, CCMTA, NSC and DOT policies and laws.
