Job summary

XPO is seeking a Freight Operations Supervisor to lead all aspects of freight operations at a busy facility in the United States. You will develop procedures, oversee workloads and supervise hourly staff to ensure timely, damage-free delivery and cost control.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related work experience in warehouse, distribution, supply chain, transportation or similar.
• Knowledge of the LTL industry, hazardous materials regulations and DOT rules and regulations.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of freight operations.
• Develop and implement strategic work procedures to meet evolving department demands.
• Evaluate, manage, assign and supervise workloads and tasks.
• Supervise hourly staff across operations and act as primary contact for workplace concerns.
• Ensure production goals are met by managing tonnage, payroll and other administrative functions.
• Plan hourly schedules to meet daily operations goals and lower costs.
• Enforce all company or regulatory policies and procedures to optimize network performance.
• Coach and develop employees on safety rules and quality requirements.
