Job summary

Warren Transport Inc. in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Carrier Representative to work with our network of trusted carriers to haul customers’ freight. You will negotiate rates, book trucks, and monitor shipments while communicating updates to sales and customer service teams.

The ideal candidate has strong negotiation and communication skills, is self-motivated to meet daily and monthly goals, and is proficient with Microsoft Office/Outlook and Google Chrome.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Bilingual preferred, not required.
• Strong problem solving and negotiating skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate rates with carriers, entering and recording all terms and conditions of shipment agreements.
• Attract and retain qualified carriers.
• Match shipments to carrier’s specific needs and profile.
• Respond to carrier request for service and resolve load issues.
• Communicates with the sales and customer services teams on shipment status and problems that may arise.
• Manages a book of business in accordance with monthly goals.
• Performs other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.
