Addison Group is partnering with a Minnesota-based company to hire a detail-oriented freight billing specialist. The role focuses on reviewing transportation and warehouse invoices, auditing charges, and ensuring timely invoice approvals.

This position is hands-on and highly transactional, requiring accurate spreadsheets and collaboration with vendors and accounting teams. You will compare invoices against pricing and docs, investigate discrepancies, code expenses, and maintain Excel trackers

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in freight billing, invoice auditing, logistics administration, or specialized AP.
• Familiarity with transportation charges and third-party warehouse operations.
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, PivotTables, and reconciliation formulas.
• Experience navigating ERP or transportation management systems.
• Confidence researching discrepancies and communicating directly with vendors.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort managing recurring tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Compare freight and warehouse invoices against pricing and supporting documentation.
• Investigate unexpected fees, duplicate charges, and other billing discrepancies.
• Code expenses, route approvals, and coordinate with Accounts Payable on payment questions.
• Maintain Excel trackers to organize costs, document exceptions, and monitor outstanding items.
• Review vendor statements and follow up on unresolved charges.
• Work across business systems while keeping records accurate and consistent.
