Job summary

KBX Logistics is seeking an Accounts Payable – Freight Auditor to ensure accurate freight invoice auditing and timely payments. You will audit freight invoices, resolve carrier billing issues, and support month-end accruals, communicating with carriers and customers to identify cost-saving opportunities.

The Freight Audit Team delivers reliable, accurate invoice processing for 4000-6000 carriers, aiming to reduce bottlenecks and drive operational value through continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable, auditing, or financial administration.
• Experience communicating with external partners, vendors, carriers, or customers.
• Experience using Excel to review, analyze, and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Audit blocked freight invoices for all modes.
• Resolve rate, fuel, stop, and other charge issues.
• Process and log carrier statement bills for dedicated fleets and trailer rentals.
• Manage Auto-Pay Carriers and onboarding/training.
• Review carrier statements and resolve open invoices.
• Ensure invoicing complies with KBX contracts and pricing policies.
• Monitor open loads to reduce month-end accruals.
• Prepare month-end manual accruals as needed.
• Support management goals to create long-term value through audit savings.
• Advise and coach carriers and customers on contracts and invoicing.
• Identify bottlenecks and streamline processes.
• Maintain proactive communication with carriers to minimize billing errors.
