Job summary

U.S. Multimodal Group is seeking a detail-oriented Billing & Audit Representative to review, audit, and process billing transactions ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing. The role collaborates with internal teams and customers to resolve discrepancies and drive cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years in transportation/logistics billing, strong Excel skills, and experience with TMS/ERP systems. This position supports accessorial management and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
3–7 years of experience in transportation/logistics, including accessorial billing.
Strong understanding of transportation and logistics operations and carrier management.
Proficiency with TMS, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Manage transportation-related accessorial charges (detention, layover, lumper fees, etc.) and review invoices.
Monitor accessorial spend and develop cost-saving opportunities and dashboards.
Serve as primary point of contact for carriers and customers on accessorial issues; negotiate and audit charges.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and create SOPs for managing accessorial charges.
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
