Job summary

OEC Group in Cerritos, CA is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a local sales team and expand our client base in the California market. You will develop strategic sales plans, negotiate rates, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver value in freight forwarding and ocean shipping services.

Responsibilities include recruiting, mentoring, achieving monthly and yearly KPIs, and representing OEC Group as a top provider of logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in sales/business development with at least 1 year in leadership.
• Minimum 5 years experience in freight forwarding/logistics; ocean freight preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
• Experience using CargoWise One ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the local sales team and participate in recruitment and development.
• Manage and expand the customer base in the local territory.
• Develop and implement strategic sales and business plans.
• Negotiate rates, create quotations, and build relationships with customers.
• Pursue continuous business development while meeting monthly and yearly KPIs.
• Lead as a team player with initiative and strong communication.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures.
