Job summary

OEC Group in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a sales leader to build and guide the local sales team, expand the customer base, and drive monthly and yearly KPI targets. The role offers an opportunity to shape the territory’s growth in a dynamic freight forwarding environment.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in freight/logistics sales, with ocean freight experience preferred, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. CargoWise One exposure is a plus for this role within a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales/business development with at least 1 year in sales leadership.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry; ocean freight preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• ERP experience with CargoWise One is preferred.
• Team player with a positive attitude, initiative and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the local sales team. Recruit and develop the Sales team.
• Manage and expand the customer base in the local territory.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans; negotiate rates and create quotations.
• Pursue continuous business development to achieve monthly and yearly team KPI targets.
• Secure monthly appointments with prospective and existing clients to discuss options and performance.
• Lead as a true team player with initiative and exceptional communication skills.
• Ensure the team’s compliance with OEC Group procedures and processes.
