Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support Dayton Freight customers with pickups, rate quotes, and shipment tracing. The role involves assisting the Service Center Manager, coordinating with drivers, and handling billing documents.

Starting pay is $18.00/hour with potential for quick advancement and a customized training program in a professional, people-centered environment at our Rockford, IL location.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Office applications proficiency required.
• Excellent keyboarding skills.
• Experience in fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Experience handling a high volume of phone calls.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dayton Freight customers with freight pickup requests, rate quotes, charges, hot shipments, tracing and appointments.
• Assist the Service Center Manager.
• Take and deliver messages for the Service Center Manager and Account Managers.
• Provide assistance to Drivers.
• Prepare bills of lading and delivery receipts.
• Maintain communication with external and internal customers and interline companies.
• May assist with payroll, data entry, freight reports, driver collect reports, billing and filing.
