Backhaul Direct is seeking competitive individuals to join our Carrier Sales team in Indianapolis, IN. The role offers a $45,000 base salary plus uncapped commission with realistic first-year earnings of $70,000 or more.

No logistics experience? Our team provides hands-on training to learn freight brokerage fundamentals, our systems, and negotiation strategies while building customer relationships for long-term success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in sales, customer service, or competitive environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and building relationships.
• Resilient, self-motivated, and goal-driven.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate freight rates with motor carriers to maximize profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners.
• Make outbound calls to source equipment and secure capacity.
• Manage carrier activity within our transportation management system.
• Resolve transportation issues to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver exceptional customer service.
