The Freight Bill Auditor is a full-time, on-site role based in Lynn, MA, responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in freight invoicing and billing activities. This role involves reviewing carrier invoices against contracts, tariffs, and shipment documentation, identifying discrepancies, and resolving billing issues directly with carriers and internal stakeholders. The auditor will verify rates, accessorial charges, and classifications, process approved invoices for payment, and maintain organized records for audit trails and reporting. Day-to-day work includes updating internal systems, preparing summaries of cost variances, supporting month-end close activities, and providing data to support logistics and transportation analysis. The role collaborates with operations, accounting, and logistics teams to support continuous improvement in freight cost control and billing processes.
