Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Freight Bill Clerk to support a dedicated Transportation Management client with accurate and timely processing of freight invoices and shipping documents.

The role emphasizes billing accuracy, cost control, and maintaining positive relationships with carriers and clients. Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, you will handle reconciliation, data entry, and month-end tasks while collaborating with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree Required.
• 4+ years' experience in billing / accounting environment
• 1-2 years of transportation/clerical experience - LTL Bill of Ladings, freight invoices, and accessorial fee experience
• Excellent in Microsoft Applications - Word, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Work as a team player, yet able to work independently
• Must have billing system experience
• Able to communicate professionally & promptly with management, coworkers, and customers
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Must have leadership and organizational skills
• Must have excellent MS Office Suite skills, Excel and Access a must

Responsibilities

Overview

The Freight Bill Clerk supports a dedicated Transportation Management client with the accurate and timely processing of freight invoices and shipping documentation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring billing accuracy, cost control, and maintaining positive carrier and client relationships. This position reports to the Senior Account Manager.

We are excited to share the base hourly rate for this position is $19.19/hour - $25.59/hour. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, geographic location, when determining a starting rate of pay. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 3%.
