Sunflower Bank, N.A. seeks a proactive Fraud Analytics & Loss Prevention Assistant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of fraud prevention, detection, and investigations. The role backs the Fraud Analytics and Loss Prevention Manager and coordinates response to significant fraud events.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in fraud or risk, strong knowledge of BSA/AML, and exceptional communication skills to work with multiple departments. Remote work is under consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of fraud, financial crimes, loss prevention, or risk management experience; leadership preferred.
• Knowledge of common fraud schemes affecting financial institutions (check, ACH, wire, account takeover, identity theft).
• Experience leading investigations and responding to active fraud events.
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML requirements and SARs.
• Knowledge of deposit and payment operations (ACH, wires, checks, debit, online banking).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex fraud matters to management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fraud investigations, alerts, referrals, and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
• Prioritize and manage team workloads based on risk exposure and potential loss.
• Review complex fraud cases and provide investigative guidance; act as escalation point.
• Coordinate fraud response, analyze trends, and recommend control improvements.
• Lead and develop Fraud Analytics & Loss Prevention staff; support staffing and performance management.
• Maintain fraud policies, procedures, and detection strategies for consistent risk management.
• Partner with business lines to strengthen fraud prevention and support regulatory activities.
• Ensure work complies with industry laws and company policies.
