Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking an energetic Fraud Analytics & Loss Prevention Assistant Manager to lead day-to-day operations in fraud prevention, detection, and investigations.

The role backs the Fraud Analytics and Loss Prevention Manager and focuses on timely resolution and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in fraud or related banking areas, with strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid understanding of BSA/AML requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of fraud, financial crimes, loss prevention, risk management, or related banking experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of common fraud schemes affecting financial institutions.
• Experience managing complex investigations and responding to active fraud events.
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML requirements and the relationship to suspicious activity reporting.
• Ability to communicate complex fraud matters to management and business partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and fraud detection systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fraud investigations, alerts, referrals, and fraud-related incidents with timely resolution and proper documentation.
• Prioritize and manage team workloads based on risk exposure and service level expectations.
• Review complex fraud cases and provide investigative guidance as escalation point.
• Coordinate fraud response, analyze trends, and recommend control improvements.
• Lead and develop Fraud Analytics & Loss Prevention staff and coordinate with other functions.
