Job summary

Choice Hotels International, Inc. seeks an Area Director, Franchise Performance for a portfolio of midscale and upper-midscale franchised hotels. You will serve as a trusted advisor to owners and operators, leveraging data to drive RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and profitability across markets.

The role collaborates with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, Distribution, Brand, and Operations to sustain portfolio growth and program adoption while traveling regionally to engage with partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years hotel industry experience with emphasis on commercial strategy and multi-property performance.
• Minimum 10 years of hotel leadership experience, preferably including franchise performance or revenue management.
• Strong consulting, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic commercial advisor to hotel owners and operators using data to identify revenue opportunities and performance improvements.
• Conduct property visits, performance reviews, and business consultations linking revenue strategy, sales activation, marketing, distribution, loyalty participation, guest experience, and operations.
• Lead recurring performance reviews with owners and management companies, documenting commitments and follow-ups to drive outcomes.
