Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group seeks a Licensing Administrator to manage the lifecycle of franchise license agreements within an assigned territory, under the supervision of a Lead Manager. You will review applications, prepare and execute agreements, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will act as the main contact for franchise applicants and existing franchisees, coordinate with internal teams, maintain records in GOLS, and monitor deadlines and compliance throughout the license term.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• 1–2 years work-related experience in franchise licensing, compliance, banking administration, contract administration, or similar.
• Demonstrated knowledge of PC-based software programs.
• Effective oral and written communication skills for conveying information to internal and external customers or via written reports.
• Strong writing and reading comprehension for drafting, compiling, or interpreting legally binding license agreements and financial letters.
• Understanding of contractual agreements and ability to administer ongoing contracts or similar detail-oriented projects.
• Attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret state regulations for contract compliance and read/interpret supporting documents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Review and process applications for franchise licenses and related documents.
• Issue and execute license agreements and addenda, and collect related fees.
• Enter and maintain franchise license data in GOLS and ensure accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
• Serve as primary contact for franchisees and coordinate with internal teams.
• Monitor deadlines, defaults, extensions and renewals; update records accordingly.
• Support hotels through the opening process and ensure compliance prior to opening; use Openings Advisory Memo and GOLS for openings.
