Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) seeks an Internal Franchise Food Specialist to originate, research, develop, and implement in-house licensed franchise food concepts in its program. The role focuses on policy development, program implementation, and collaboration with government, military, and civilian partners to improve franchise food operations and procurement across the network.

This is a full-time role based in Virginia Beach with responsibilities spanning contract development,

Qualifications

• Total 7 years experience across general, substitution, and specialized areas.
• 1 year academic study in a food or management program may substitute for 9 months of experience, up to a 4 year bachelor degree for 3 years of general experience.
• 4 years progressively responsible experience in food service operations management with menu management, merchandising, procurement knowledge, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements policies, procedures, and programs for the in-house franchise food program and direct-run restaurants.
• Reviews budgets, data forecasts, and supplier proposals to improve financial viability and efficiency.
• Establishes relationships with government, military, civilian personnel, and corporate representatives to gain concurrence on new concepts.
• Coordinates procurement and contract activities to obtain better selection, delivery, quality, and costs.
• Assists in contract preparation and provides guidance to procurement personnel and field activities.
