NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) in Colts Neck, New Jersey seeks a leader to manage multiple departments including retail and service stations. The position requires strong operational oversight, staff coordination, and budget awareness, with duties spanning planning, reporting, and project execution in a federally managed environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in administrative merchandising technical or other responsible work that enabled the applicant to gain general knowledge of store operation practices and procedures, skill in dealing with others in person to person work relationships, and the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• One year academic study above the high school level may be substituted for each 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor’s degree for 3 years of general experience.
• One year of responsible experience that provided a knowledge of retail and/or services type operations practices and procedures, understanding of management methods and techniques used in monitoring, developing and improving operational plans.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the performance and mission effectiveness of the Exchange and compliance with operating procedures; manages loss prevention and inventory shrink.
• Plans and directs operations to achieve sales and profit goals; coordinates with department managers; ensures uniform merchandise and assistance to military customers.
• Conducts meetings to ensure proper implementation of programs; manages development of the activity budget and control of funds.
