Job summary

Michaels, a leading North American craft retailer, is seeking a Store Manager/Framing Leader in Fairfax, VA. You will guide a framing team to deliver custom solutions, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service in a busy store environment.

Responsibilities include coaching, meeting KPIs, managing inventory, and coordinating with store leadership to maintain operations. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and operational skills with weekend/evening availability.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
• Retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time.
• Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to reach their KPI targets.
• Review sales and production workload and plan sales floor staffing.
• Manage inventory and shrink/safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and training of new team members; participate in performance management.
• Partner with MODs daily on framing expectations.
• Engage with customers professionally and promote the company vision and values.
• Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to meet standards and budget.
• Follow SOPs and ensure a safe environment.
• Acknowledge customers and assist with locating products and solutions.
• Assist with Omni channel processes.
