Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Manager with a focus on custom framing to lead a framing team in a busy retail setting. You will ensure SOP compliance, coach staff, and deliver high-quality framing solutions to customers while meeting KPIs.

Responsibilities include workload planning with the Store Manager, inventory control, and serving as Manager on Duty, with opportunities for Talent Development and performance coaching.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are required.
• Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
• Retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs; ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to meet their KPI targets.
• Review sales and production workload and plan sales floor time for networking.
• Manage inventory processes and shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing and training of new team members; support Talent Development; participate in Performance Mgmt.
• Partner with MODs on framing expectations and daily goals.
• Promote a positive image and alignment with the organization's vision and values.
• Participate in truck unloading and stocking; ensure truck standards and budget compliance.
• Follow SOPs and Company programs; maintain a safe environment.
• Acknowledge customers, help locate product and provide solutions; assist with Omni channel processes.
