Job summary

Michaels in Sterling, VA seeks an experienced retail leader to assist the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring SOP adherence and policy execution while driving team performance and customer service.

You will coach the framing team, plan workloads, manage inventory and safety programs, serve as MOD, and support Omni channel activities, including interviews and onboarding.

This role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed to meet store goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead high-quality custom framing solutions on time with workload planning.
• Achieve KPI targets and manage framing team KPIs.
• Review sales and production workload and plan staffing on the sales floor.
• Manage inventory processes and shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Participate in interviewing, onboarding, coaching and training of team members.
• Partner with MODs on framing expectations.
• Interact respectfully and promote company vision and values.
• Assist with truck unloading and stocking to meet standards.
• Follow SOPs and ensure a safe environment.
• Acknowledge customers, locate products and provide solutions.
• Assist with Omni channel processes.
