Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Sterling, VA is seeking a Store Manager on Duty to lead and coach the framing team, ensure SOP adherence, and deliver high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time.

You will partner with the Store Manager to plan workloads, monitor KPIs, manage inventory, and support recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of team members in a busy retail environment. Evening and weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPI targets and manage the framing team to meet their KPI goals.
• Recruiting, onboarding, coaching, observing and training of new Team Members; participate in performance management.
