Job summary

The Michaels Stores, The Michaels Companies Inc., is seeking a Store Lead in Carlsbad/La Costa to lead a team of framers and drive custom framing sales while building strong customer relationships.

You will coach staff, ensure SOPs, plan workloads, manage inventory and safety, and serve as Manager on Duty. This role requires retail leadership, framing experience, and a commitment to helping customers create memorable framing solutions.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Previous custom framing experience preferred.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the framing team to meet KPIs and deliver quality custom framing.
• Manage and execute SOP adherence and company programs.
• Develop and coach team selling behaviors to drive sales.
• Lead delivery of framing solutions on time in partnership with Store Manager.
• Oversee inventory, shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding and staff training.
• Support omni-channel processes and customer engagement.
• Coordinate truck unloads and stock-replenishment activities.
