Job summary

Osmo is seeking a Quality Control leader to build and own the QC program for raw materials and finished fragrance. You will apply organoleptic judgment alongside automated testing, decide real defects, and drive continuous improvement across processes, docs, and systems.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape quality culture at Osmo. The role requires 5+ years in fragrance QC, hands-on process building, and independent decision-making in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Direct fragrance industry experience required; adjacent industries like flavor, cosmetics, or specialty chemicals don’t clear the bar here.
• Builder of QC processes rather than just operating inside someone else’s system.
• Trained nose with organoleptic skills for raw materials and finished goods.
• Independent decision-maker with high-frequency accept/reject calls.
• Knowledge of quality documentation, audits, CAPA/root-cause processes in regulated manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own Raw Material Quality—Judge incoming material results from testing, deciding real defects vs normal variation.
• Apply trained olfactive judgment to evaluate materials and finished goods.
• Protect finished goods quality by triangulation testing prior to customer release.
• Build the QC program by designing and improving processes, docs, and systems.
