Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Metallurgist for a precision alloy manufacturing facility in Confluence, PA. This on-site, permanent role focuses on developing and improving foundry processes, ensuring product quality, and leading improvement projects on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, at least five years in foundry operations, and strong CAD skills to design fixtures and rigging, with proven project management ability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years in a foundry environment focusing on process capabilities, process control, and rigging/fixture design.
Experience in project management within the manufacturing industry.
Proficient in CAD software for design purposes.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Utilize process capability and process control to monitor and maintain process integrity.
Design and implement rigging and fixture designs to enhance operational effectiveness.
Oversee project management from inception to completion.
Collaborate to troubleshoot and solve complex foundry issues.
Ensure all foundry operations comply with health and safety regulations.
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure machinery/equipment are well-maintained.
Provide technical support and guidance to the foundry team.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in foundry operations.
