Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer for a hands-on shop floor role on our foundry team in the manufacturing industry. This permanent position focuses on developing and improving foundry processes, ensuring quality control, and managing projects to boost efficiency and productivity.

The candidate will work on aluminum and magnesium castings, with exposure to industry standards and customer requirements, contributing to a high-performance manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a foundry environment with focus on process capabilities and control.
• Experience in project management within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Monitor process integrity via process capabilities and control.
• Design rigging and fixture designs to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Oversee project management from inception to completion.
• Collaborate to troubleshoot and solve complex foundry issues.
• Ensure all foundry operations comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of machinery and equipment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the foundry team.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in foundry operations.
