Jobot is seeking a Permanent Foundry Engineer to join our hands-on shop floor team in Ankeny, IA. You will develop and manage foundry processes to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency while staying aligned with safety standards.

The role emphasizes process control, rigging and fixture design, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across aerospace-grade castings and automotive applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a foundry environment with focus on process capabilities and process control.
• Experience in project management within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of foundry operations and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in CAD software for design purposes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Utilize process capabilities and process control to monitor manufacturing integrity.
• Design and implement rigging and fixture designs to enhance operations.
• Oversee project management from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve foundry issues.
• Ensure all foundry operations comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of machinery and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance to the foundry team and foster continuous improvement.
