Job summary

Jobot is seeking a permanent Foundry Engineer to lead the development and optimization of foundry processes on the shop floor. You will manage projects, improve process capabilities, and ensure quality and safety across operations in the metal casting environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in mechanical or industrial engineering and at least 5 years' foundry experience, with CAD proficiency and strong problem-solving abilities. This is a full-time on-site position based in Orme, TN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering as a minimum requirement.
• At least 5 years in a foundry environment with exposure to process capabilities and control.
• Experience with CAD and fixture design, plus project management within manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize foundry processes to improve productivity and quality.
• Monitor process capabilities and control to maintain process integrity.
• Design rigging and fixtures to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Manage projects from inception to completion with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot foundry issues and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct audits and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance to the foundry team and pursue continuous improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends and apply best practices.
