Job summary

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Wesley Chapel/Weddington, NC is opening a brand-new location and seeking a Founding Spa Manager to build the team, establish culture, and set the standards that will shape our spa for years to come.

You will lead a hands-on, sales-driven operation, recruit and train staff, drive membership growth, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and manage daily spa performance with a focus on service quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of management experience in a spa, salon, wellness or hospitality or membership-based business
• Proven sales-driven leadership
• Experience coaching toward measurable goals and KPIs
• Strong recruiting, training and team-development skills
• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving abilities
• Proactive, ownership-minded approach to tasks
• Comfort analyzing performance metrics and turning data into action
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and at least one weekend day
• Genuine interest in wellness and the benefits of massage and skincare services

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in achieving membership, service, retail, and revenue goals
• Coach front-desk team to improve membership conversions, upgrades, rebooking, and retention
• Build a strong membership culture focused on acquisition and long-term relationships
• Drive service-provider utilization through scheduling, membership growth, and sales initiatives
• Monitor KPIs and create action plans to improve performance
• Take ownership of sales, labor, revenue and profitability
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing team
• Establish a positive culture built on accountability, teamwork, growth and service
• Set clear expectations and coach employees toward measurable goals
• Create an environment where talented people want to stay and grow
• Oversee daily spa operations, staffing, scheduling and standards
• Optimize staffing and schedules to support guest demand and business performance
• Maintain a clean, professional, welcoming environment
• Ensure policies and operational standards are followed
• Use reporting and performance data to make informed decisions
