Job summary

Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in Wesley Chapel/Weddington, NC, seeks a Founding Spa Manager to build a new location from the ground up. You will recruit, set culture, grow memberships, and establish standards that shape the spa for years to come.

You’ll lead sales, service, and operational goals, coach staff, and drive results while delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of management experience in a spa, salon, fitness, wellness, retail, hospitality, or membership-based business.
• Demonstrated success leading a sales-driven team.
• Experience coaching employees toward measurable goals and KPIs.
• Strong recruiting, training, and team-development skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive, ownership-minded approach with action orientation.
• Comfort analyzing performance metrics and turning them into action.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and at least one weekend day.
• A genuine interest in wellness and the benefits of massage and skincare services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in achieving membership, service, retail, and revenue goals.
• Coach the front-desk team to improve membership conversions, upgrades, rebooking, and retention.
• Build a strong membership culture focused on acquisition and long-term member relationships.
• Drive service-provider utilization through scheduling, rebooking, membership growth, and sales initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs, identify opportunities, and create action plans to improve performance.
• Take ownership of sales, labor, revenue, and profitability.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a high-performing team.
• Establish culture built on accountability, teamwork, growth, and exceptional service.
• Set expectations and coach employees toward measurable goals.
• Create environment where talented people want to stay, perform, and grow.
• Set the standard for an exceptional guest experience and build relationships with members and guests.
• Resolve concerns professionally with a solutions-focused approach.
• Oversee daily spa operations, staffing, scheduling, and standards.
