Job summary

Featherless AI in North America is recruiting our first Sales Engineer to partner closely with the founding Account Executive. You own the technical win, working hands-on in customers’ stacks from first call to production rollout, focusing on open models that are faster, cheaper, and more reliable.

As the technical owner on opportunities, you’ll design demos, run POCs and benchmarks, and create reusable collateral.

Qualifications

Hands-on software engineer with Python scripting experience.
Experience with LLM inference stacks and model serving.
Ability to design and run live demos and POCs.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, GPUs, and security basics.
Strong written and verbal communication for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Lead technical calls tailored to buyer's stack: architecture reviews and live demos.
Build migration paths from closed-model APIs to open weights.
Run benchmarks and produce throughput, latency, and cost analyses.
Scope and execute POCs with clear success criteria and timelines.
Write technical sections of proposals and security questionnaires; maintain reusable answers.
Support onboarding and first production workloads, then hand off cleanly.
Provide structured feedback to product/engineering on features and gaps.
Maintain scalable technical assets: demos, notebooks, reference architectures.
Represent Featherless technically at events and conferences.
