Job summary

Featherless.ai is hiring its first Sales Engineer to partner with the founding AE in North America. You will be the technical owner on opportunities, from first discovery to production rollout. You will demonstrate open-models, run benchmarks, and craft technical collateral to win deals.

You’ll own POCs, security responses, and migration guidance, working directly with buyers like ML engineers and CTOs. This is a hands-on, high-impact GTM role in a fast-moving AI company.

Qualifications

• Hands-on: you write Python comfortably and build demos.
• Strong knowledge of modern LLM inference stacks and token economics.
• Experience with open-model ecosystems (Hugging Face, open weights).
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and cloud networking/security fundamentals.
• Credible with both ML engineers and CTOs in meetings.
• Entrepreneurial and self-directed; first SE with no playbook.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical calls with buyers, including architecture reviews and live demos.
• Design and run POCs and benchmarks proving Featherless against incumbents.
• Build demo environment and reusable technical collateral for GTM.
• Own technical objection handling: performance, cost, security, data handling.
• Write technical sections of proposals and security questionnaires; maintain reusable answers library.
• Support onboarding and initial production workloads then hand off cleanly.
