Job summary

Featherless AI is hiring its first Sales Engineer to partner with our founding Account Executive in North America. You will be the technical owner on active opportunities, conducting discovery, benchmarking, and live demos within customer stacks.

You will build the blueprint for POCs, security responses, and migration paths to open weights as you scale the GTM machine. You’ll work hands-on with Python, ML workloads, and modern inference stacks, translating technical value into the CTO’s risk and

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in pre-sales engineering or a forward-deployed/customer-facing engineering role in GPU cloud, inference provider, or AI tooling.
• Hands-on Python development and demo-building experience.
• Experience with modern LLM inference stacks and APIs.
• Familiarity with Hugging Face open-weight ecosystem and evaluating models.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical calls tailored to each buyer's stack: architecture reviews, live demos, and working code against real use cases.
• Design migration paths off closed-model APIs onto open weights: model selection, evaluation, prompt/output parity, cutover plan.
• Run benchmarks and produce throughput, latency, and cost-per-token analyses to anchor the business case.
• Scope and execute POCs with clear technical success criteria, then hold the customer and us to them.
• Write the technical sections of proposals, RFP responses, and security questionnaires; build a reusable answer library.
• Support onboarding and first production workloads, then hand off cleanly and stay available for expansion.
• Feed product/engineering with field input on feature gaps, reliability issues, and competitive intel.
