Job summary

LifeWorks in Austin seeks an Institutional Giving Officer to join the Strategic Partnerships team and build relationships with private foundations. You will secure grants from foundations and other private funders, maintaining a strong funding pipeline aligned with LifeWorks’ mission and priorities.

Reporting to the VP of Institutional Giving, you will write compelling proposals, conduct site visits, and manage funder engagement to meet annual goals and deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CFRE/other relevant fundraising certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in institutional fundraising, grant development, or related nonprofit revenue generation.
• Experience managing institutional funder relationships across lifecycle: research, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, proposal development, stewardship, reporting, renewal.

Responsibilities

• Identify and Qualify Funding Opportunities: Develop a pipeline of major- and mid-level institutional funders, emphasizing foundations.
• Cultivate and Sustain Funder Relationships: Conduct outreach, organize site visits, prepare materials to highlight LifeWorks’ impact.
• Administrative Support: Maintain CRM records and coordinate grant reports.
• Collaborate with program leaders, Compliance, Research, and Finance to align proposals with needs and funder interests.
