Job summary

New Door Ventures is seeking a Development Manager for Institutional Giving to lead corporate, foundation, and government funding efforts. You will craft compelling proposals, manage relationships with funders, and drive a strategic funding pipeline to support SF youth programs.

You will work on a small, results-driven development team and report to the Director of Development and Marketing. This is a founding role essential to scaling our impact and sustaining operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years fundraising experience, SF Bay Area youth development preferred.
• Proven ability to secure five- and six-figure gifts from foundations, corporations, and public donors.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience with diverse populations and culturally aware outreach.
• Ability to manage and grow an Institutional Giving program; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Research and cultivate new donor prospects; conduct strategic prospect research.
• Draft proposals, letters of inquiry, reports and budgets; ensure timely deliverables.
• Collaborate with senior staff to develop persuasive narratives and program impact language.
• Maintain grants calendar and Salesforce records; track grant deliverables.
• Engage funders via emails, calls and site visits; steward relationships.
• Develop sponsorship levels and secure corporate sponsorships for events.
