Job summary

Foundation for Louisiana, a social justice philanthropic intermediary, seeks an Institutional Giving Officer. You will lead strategy and execution for stewarding foundations and corporate funders to support programs and operations, developing funding proposals, and expanding the portfolio.

Reporting to the VP of Development, you will cultivate relationships with funders, manage five- to seven-figure grants, and collaborate with program and finance staff to reach ambitious growth goals in

Qualifications

• Commitment to anti-oppression values; ability to discuss racial, trans, queer, and climate justice.
• 5+ years of development experience with grants and funders.
• Solutions-oriented self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and revenue focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication for donor audiences.
• Excellent project management, multi-tasking, prioritization.
• Collaborative work style with cross-team coordination.
• CRM systems experience; Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of grant proposals and donor reports from initiation to submission.
• Oversee a portfolio of five to seven-figure grants and maintain donor relations to secure renewals.
• Write compelling grant proposals and reports with narratives and budgets.
• Research prospective funders, develop cultivation strategies, and identify partnerships.
• Develop engagement plans for institutional donors and coordinate funder meetings/site visits.
• Maintain institutional giving fundraising calendar and deadlines with program/finance teams.
• Ensure data quality and accurate records for funders and grants.
