Job summary

Sierra is seeking a Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer in San Francisco to own the end-to-end deployment lifecycle for enterprise customers. You will architect, deploy, upgrade, and manage Sierra's AI platform infrastructure across customer environments, ensuring security, compliance, and reliability.

You will define standards, tooling, and processes to scale deployments, partnering with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to meet enterprise needs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in infrastructure/DevOps/platform engineering or solutions architecture with customer deployments
• Experience deploying to enterprise environments with security/compliance reviews
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, networking, and IAM
• Ability to translate customer needs into deployable plans and runbooks

Responsibilities

• Own deployment architecture conversations across customer environments
• Manage full infrastructure lifecycle for key customers (deployment, upgrades, scaling)
• Develop deployment runbooks and automation to make operations repeatable
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure deployability across diverse requirements
• Work with customer platform teams to address security and compliance constraints
• Support pre-sales and onboarding with concrete deployment plans
